Follow me under clear blue and wispy grey
Through golden pink flecked with red
Through deep twilight to indigo night
Follow me to that hill on the edge of forever
See the fire blazing on that timeless hill
Where they gather this midsummer night warm and still,
Charged with as yet invisible energy
Waiting waiting waiting for it to happen

Follow me and see them gather, young and old
mothers daughters fathers sons faces shining
anticipation shining eyes shining reflecting fire
radiating joy glowing with excitement
Naked hey kneel in soft grass circle
adorned with spirals whorls skin glowing

Follow me and join the circle
Hands held up
Receive the cup
And drink
And drink
Time stops ...

Under the full moonlight we dance
Spirits dance we dance
Joining hands we dance
Joining souls rejoice

Follow me in the dance, and I will follow you
Round the circle, up and down, in and out
Chests heaving panting breathing in sacred air
sacred smoke from sacred fire
Herbs brewed herbs burned to connect
Time stops ...

And there they are, joining us in the wild dance
Horned and strong, wild and free the hunter,
proud and erect,
Long-haired and luscious the mother, carer, lover
Open and free, lascivious and receptive

They join ... we join ... in deep loving connection
Sharing honouring renewing re-creating
manifesting the bounty of the Earth
Our love guaranteeing this divine abundance

And then we lie on the damp warm trodden grass
as the fire burns low
and we dream of things to come things long gone
Until the dawn finds us limbs entwined and smiling
We feast on the bounty that surrounds us
Breaking fast on fruit and seed
Knowing ...

It is all good.
