Spencer the Rover

from Wild Places by Andy Copeman

about

My version of John Martyn's adaptation of an old English folk song.

It's a simple song of redemption... a man gets so overwhelmed by life that he runs away to the forest. There, in the form of a simple meal and a bed on the forest floor, he gets the message of the beautiful simplicity of life ... if he chooses to let go of the stories of complication and stress. So he goes home, and is happy.
